Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking to help improve physical and mental health and well-being. Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland, part of Scottish Cycling is working in partnership with Nature Scot, Public Health Scotland, Trek & others to deliver this project. Participants will be taken out by qualified leaders with a background in Mental Health. 6 sessions that will last 2.5hrs and will take participants on suitable trails from Camperdown Park. Over 18s, bikes and helmets will be provided. Contact Paul.

Street fit Scotland is a not for profit Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation/Social Enterprise. Our programme provides a route back into the community, a way of re-integrating back into society supporting to become active citizens.

Keeping active

To maintain or improve your health, adults need to do aerobic and strength exercises every week. As a minimum adults aged 19-64 should try to be active daily and should do: at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity such as cycling or fast walking every week, and strength exercises on two or more days a week that work all the major muscles (legs, hips, back, abdomen, chest, shoulders and arms)
